by Hi everyone! Happy New Year! We’ve started the new year pretty strong, with Charlotte sleeping WAY better than she has been in a while (only one middle of the night feeding that lasts only a few minutes, and no tears at bed time, hip hip hooray!), we’re slowwwwly getting over her stuffy nose, and she is staging a revolution against baby food, unless it comes in one of those fancy squeeze packets. God forbid you try to feed the child with a spoon. GOD FORBID.
Last night when I came home from work, Charlie girl was on Eric’s lap and actually APPLAUDED when I walked in the door. I got a round of applause for arriving home. Nobody has ever given me a round of applause for that. She crawled over to me and crawled up my legs and it was just pure perfection. Then when I tried to feed her with a spoon (GOD FORBID) she hit it out of my hand and sent food flying everywhere, so there’s that. She is also still refusing to let her nose be wiped with anything that should be wiping her nose. No tissues, no wash cloths, no wipes. She will only use the couch, my hair, my shoulder or my shirt. OF COURSE. Snot covered shirts are my FAVORITE. My couch has never looked better.
Her new favorite thing to do now, as she awaits the arrival of THREE more teeth, is to grind the current four she has now. All day every day it’s grind, grind, grind. It makes me want to scream. I get chills constantly from all the grinding. Oh, what fun times we have.
That’s all I’ve really got for today, other than the usual Charlotte updates that I won’t bore you with once again. I ordered her first birthday party invitations, and all the feelings that come along with that are definitely for another post for another day. I think I’m a little bit in denial about it all!
